Well, it looks like Meizu’s official announcement for the Meizu M6 won’t have much to offer in terms of new details, or at least not images of the actual device, as those have leaked online ahead of the phone’s expected September 20 unveiling. SlashLeaks has published a slew of high-quality pre-release review images of the M6, revealing that we’re looking at exactly what the first M6 leak had suggested: a minor upgrade to the M5 that won’t impress anyone.
Cameras are the main upgrade with the Meizu M6
The images show the design will be very similar to the M5; the images are accompanied by the phone’s specs. According to the leak, the M6 will have a 5.2-inch HD display, octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera. The cameras are the main upgrades here, and as earlier leaked images had shown, the M6 should come in a variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There’s still no word on the software, but we can expect Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the usual Flyme OS flavoring on top.
