Meizu’s smartphone lineup for 2017 could be rounded off with a high-end device called the MX7, a successor to the MX6, according to a bunch of leaked posters on Weibo. These images suggest an in-display fingerprint sensor could be a part of the MX7, although the renders aren’t officially from Meizu, so there’s no telling how much truth there is to this particular leak.
Meizu MX7 could finally be announced in October
A leaked roadmap for Meizu’s product lineup for 2017 had suggested the MX7 would be unveiled in September, but that clearly didn’t happen as October is only a few days away. But it’s possible the MX7 will be announced in less than two weeks if these posters were made based on factual information. There’s no way to tell right now, and it would be best to wait and see what happens instead of coming to any conclusions.
In terms of specs, the MX7 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 21-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras, a MediaTek Helio P30 processor, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Other specs are unknown at this point, but we can assume a few different storage options and a sizable battery will be part of the final product.
