We saw what is said to be the Meizu M6s in leaked images late last month, showing off the company’s first phone with an 18:9 “bezel-free” display. Today, a hands-on video has appeared online, and it looks to have been taken at the same time as the images we saw earlier.
Meizu M6s hands-on video leaks
This time around, we’re getting a short glimpse of the rear of the handset, where the words “mblu by Meizu” are embedded on the lower right corner. mblu is expected to be the branding for Meizu’s Blue Charm line of phones, which the company is reportedly working on spinning off as a sub-brand, much like Huawei has done with the Honor series. It remains to be seen, however, if the mblu branding will be used globally or only in China.
The video also reveals the 18:9 display, which has minimal bezels on the sides but not on the top and bottom. Oh, and we can once again see that the fingerprint sensor is located beneath the power button on the right side of the phone. It’s an odd way of doing things, and hopefully the fingerprint sensor will be always active, removing the need to press the power button before using the sensor.
Check out the video, and let us know what your take is on the Meizu M6s.
