It looks like Meizu is releasing a new phone with a Spreastrum Soc, which they will be using for the first time. This makes Meizu the only company along with Samsung to use processors from all the major Soc firms around the world!
The listing was first spotted by ITHome, but now looks like it has been removed from GeekBench browser. The phone looks like a super cheap phone with a very less single-core and multi-core score.
The phone’s single core score is 460, and multi-core score is 1284. The performance can be compared to old Snapdragon 400 Soc. This further suggests that this phone could be priced at less than 80$.
Few specifications of the phone were also revealed. The phone comes with a Spreastrum Soc clocked at 1.5 Ghz. This phone looked like the upcoming Android Go phone due to low-end specifications, but it was tested using Android 7.1. Now, it leads to one more confusion. Google last month said that no phone can now be launched without Android 8. Or it could be possible that it is the Chinese version of the phone going to run on Android Go in international markets, but Flyme OS in China. The phone also has 2GB RAM. These were all the specifications we knew. For further information, stay tuned with MeizuMatters!
