Meizu 16 will be launched officially in August this year. The phone’s specifications are now surfing throughout the Chinese tech blogs and social networks. Surprisingly, these leaks come from Meizu’s official forum, where they are revealed by the CEO Jack Wong himself. It looks like he wants to hype up the phone’s launch event, and show everyone what Meizu is capable of doing.
This time, the founder and the present CEO has revealed that Meizu 16’s Snapdragon 845 variant will cost less than ¥3000 / $465. It is suspected to be the base variant of the Meizu 16, and could cost ¥2799 / $435. The storage variants would further extend to 8+256 GB storage.
In past, he has also revealed that the phone will have an under display fingerprint sensor, and a screen to body ratio more than the iPhone X and MI 8. A more cheaper variant with Snapdragon 710 Soc will also be launched. Meizu will be the 4th company after Vivo, Huawei and Xiaomi to launch a phone with under screen fingerprint sensor. The specs and the prices of the phone might get changed in future, as the launch is still 2 months far. So, take them with a little pinch of salt.
