The Meizu 15 Plus was released last month. A phone, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the company. Though it gathered many positive reviews from the people, but some were not satisfied by its performance. Even the best phone among the series featured a processor used by Samsung’s flagships last year. It might be to save the latest Socs for their upcoming true flagships in August, or maybe they just couldn’t get them.
But, the Exynos 8895 isn’t a bad processor at all even for 2018. Samsung is still selling the Galaxy S8 with this processor in a good quantity, and you can get Meizu 15 Plus for more cheaper prices. So, to compare the performance of Meizu 15 Plus with today’s flagships, we gathered scores of various benchmarks, and some gaming tests.
Meizu 15 scored a decent 188822 points on Antutu, which is comparable to some flagships launched las year.
Meizu 15 Plus scored 1924 single core points and 6556 multi core points on Geekbench 4. The score is comparable to many flagships launched last year.
These benchmarks do not mean that the phone’s performance is not good for this year or next. In real world usage, you won’t notice much lags in the phone. Also, the phone is capable of running every high-end game today.
While playing King Of Glory, the phone had a constant frame rate of 60 FPS throughout the game, even on all settings set to the highest.
While playing PubG in highest settings, the frame rate was near to above 30 FPS throughout. But the game’s performance was still smooth and easily playable .
As we can see, the Meizu 15 Plus is still a great device despite last year’s Soc being used. The phone is being introduced in all Global markets where Meizu is present. You can buy the phone if interested, as there are more awesome features present like the great cameras, AMOLED screen, etc The phone’s price start from around 470$.
